They stubbornly keep the traditional way of making Uda-Gami (宇陀紙), which is used for the National Treasures. The workshop stands on the upland, overlooking Yoshino river. It looks like the typical "Traditional Paper-making House”. Mr Fukunishi Masayuki is the holder of the Selected Preservation Techniques, which is certified by the National Government, same as his father. He is definitely the indispensable master artisan for Japanese culture preservation.
