Tōzan Washi Kamisuki-kan is located at the entrance of the “Geibi-gorge (Geibi-kei=猊鼻渓)” which is a popular touristic spot. The tourists can experience the making of Washi paper there.
This place was built by Mr Suzuki Nobuhiko's father in 1988. Originally, the family was making paper in a mountain village. He wanted to let the people know about the attractive of Tōzan Washi, then moved to the current site.
He is making just standard traditional Tōzan Washi which is Shoji paper, using local Kozo.
