Mr Negishi Mitsukazu is the last artisan in Higashi-Chichibu where is one of the five places of historical Ogawa Washi making.
He has a high consciousness to the word “Musashi-gami” instead of "Ogawa-Washi" because Ogawa is just the name of one site.
He keeps making papers and also training young people to revive Washi making in there. We hope that young artisans will be independents from him in the near future.
