Ms Kashiwagi Kazue is a very cute lady aged 84. She is making washi at the public facility provided by the Kawai village. For her long contribution to Washi, she was awarded the Medals of Honour with Yellow Ribbon by Japan government in 2018.
Her grandson, Yoshiaki declared to take over her work after his high school graduation.
This is one of the workshops filled with happiness.
